Some weddings just feel effortlessly joyful from the very beginning — and Megan & Kane's spring wedding at the stunning Wotton House in Surrey was exactly that. Set in the heart of the Surrey Hills countryside, this elegant 17th-century venue provided the perfect backdrop for a celebration full of emotion, laughter, and heartfelt moments.
As a wedding videographer, arriving at a venue like Wotton House always sets the scene for something special. Both Megan and Kane got ready at the venue, which made it easy to capture all the excitement and emotion from both sides of the morning.
There was a calm, joyful energy in the air as the couple prepared surrounded by their bridal party and closest family. The light-filled rooms and stunning architecture created such an elegant atmosphere for these early moments.
The ceremony took place in Wotton House’s breathtaking Old Library, where Megan and Kane read their own personalised vows. These deeply moving promises, along with a special reading chosen by Megan’s nan, brought a lovely, heartfelt tone to the whole ceremony — one of those beautiful moments where you could hear a pin drop.
After the confetti toss and some bubbly in the gardens, guests moved into the grand Evelyn Suite for the wedding breakfast and speeches. The decor was elegant and romantic, with spring florals and soft tones throughout.
Megan’s dad, the best man Cam, and Kane himself delivered brilliant speeches — touching, personal, and full of laughter.
There were some wonderful surprises too, including a hidden ring box under a guest’s chair for a surprise ring bearer moment! Thoughtful touches like these made the whole day feel so personal and memorable.
As the sun began to set, we took a quiet moment with Megan and Kane to capture some golden hour footage in the beautiful Wotton House grounds. These are always some of my favourite clips — calm, romantic, and full of real connection.
Later in the evening, sparklers lit up the celebrations, followed by a packed dancefloor and a high-energy party with music from @limelightukevents. The atmosphere was full of joy, with friends and family dancing the night away.
It was such a pleasure to work alongside the lovely @siancookphotographer again — we always have such a relaxed, collaborative approach which makes the day flow seamlessly for the couple.
